RF Up/Downconverters for Telecom Carriers & Baseband Researchers
The RF Up/Downconverters are one of the most economical and cost-effective methods for increasing the operating frequency range of RF signal analysis systems. In the world of rapidly evolving 5G network technology, an RF Up/Downconverter can reduce time to market and costs for wireless equipment OEMs, baseband researchers and telecom carriers.
The UD Box is the first product of the global strategic partnership between thinkRF and TMYTEK. The UD Box is designed to cover most of the 5G NR FR2 bands 24 to 44 GHz (RF) with an IF interface 0.01 to 14 GHz. One of the key problems of Compact Antenna Test Range (CATR) is the path loss due to use of long cables between the chamber and the test equipment. Using the UD Box close to the DUT, will prevent excessive path loss since the cable run between the test chamber and the test equipment can be at a much lower frequency.

Why thinkRF TMYTEK Up / Downconverter is Right For You
The UD Box is versatile and specially built for 5G NR FR2 applications. The up and down conversion is done in the same box, no add-on is required! The high precision built-in OCXO enables non-coherent modulation/demodulation. 100 MHz sync signal allows you to synchronize multiple UD Boxes. With 10 MHz sync signal, you can seamlessly synchronize a RF Up/Downconverter with most of the Sub-6 GHz instruments, including communication analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and even software defined radio (SDR).
The UD Box can be extended to cover lower 5G FR1 bands using other complementary thinkRF receiver products.
