ThinkRF brings in accomplished industry veteran to Board of Directors as part of move towards emerging 5G test and analysis market.

ThinkRF, a leader in real-time spectrum analysis products, today announced the appointment of Jim Nerschook to the Board of Directors. Jim brings tremendous executive level experience in both start-up and public technology companies and will be advising ThinkRF on its move towards the emerging 5G test and analysis market.

“Next-generation 5G mobile is an incredible opportunity for ThinkRF, so we’re excited to have Jim join our board,” said Jim Roche, President and CEO. “As we continue to develop our wireless test and analysis solutions, Jim’s knowledge and expertise will be invaluable.”

This announcement follows the release of the ThinkRF R5500 Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer and the ThinkRF S240 Real-Time Spectrum Analysis software application, two important milestones in the development of the company’s product portfolio.

“As 5G shifts from the research to the deployment phase, the performance requirements for real-time spectrum analyzers will increase dramatically,” said Jim Nerschook. “ThinkRF has proven over the years that it can deliver the right mix of performance and cost-effectiveness in a small form factor. I’m confident that the company’s disruptive technology and capabilities position it well for this emerging market.”

Specializing in telecommunications products and infrastructure, Jim was most recently Vice President and General Manager of the Wireless and Lab Division at Viavi Solutions, where he facilitated the LTE deployments of major carriers worldwide with leading test solutions. He was recently appointed Vice President Product Management at PAR Technology.
