After more than doubling revenues over the previous fiscal year, ThinkRF brings in veteran leader to build on the momentum.
ThinkRF, a leader in real-time spectrum analysis products, today announced the appointment of Jim Roche as President and CEO. Jim had been serving as Chair of the Board of ThinkRF, helping the company more than double revenues compared to the previous fiscal year.
Jim brings over 30 years of industry experience working with and leading technology companies at various stages of growth.
“I’m delighted to be leading the ThinkRF team,” he said. “I’ve been impressed by the company’s ability to deliver innovative solutions that address critical market needs in a large and fast-growing market. We have exceptional technology, a strong customer base, and a clear market opportunity.”
Dr. Nikhil Adnani, ThinkRF founder and previous CEO, will assume the role of Chief Technology Officer, where he will continue to guide product vision and drive technical innovation.
“We’re excited to work with Jim as ThinkRF continues to grow,” said Nikhil. “As a company, we’ve reached an important transition point, and Jim brings the necessary skills to help us harness the opportunity before us.”
“This is the right time to have Jim lead the ThinkRF team,” said Terry Matthews, Chairman of Wesley Clover, the lead investor in ThinkRF. “The Wireless market is very large and demand for ThinkRF products is growing fast as spectrum becomes more crowded. Jim’s track record of leading companies through rapid growth will be invaluable.”
Jim began his career as a founding member of Newbridge Networks, a high-growth telecommunications equipment provider, before co-founding Tundra Semiconductor, an innovative supplier to wired and wireless communications equipment companies. Both Newbridge and Tundra grew revenues and profits rapidly, had successful IPOs and continued to create tremendous shareholder value on the public markets before being acquired by larger companies. More recently, Jim founded Stratford Managers, a leading management consultancy. Stratford has been delivering double-digit revenue growth year after year while helping some of the region’s top companies to accelerate their growth.
