thinkRF Brings Continuous Spectrum Intelligence to Africa Spectrum Management Conference

As Networking Partner for a Third Consecutive Year, thinkRF Gives African Regulators Real-Time Visibility Traditional Monitoring Can’t Match

thinkRF, a leader in spectrum intelligence, is bringing its Spectrum eXperience Management (SXM) platform to the Africa Spectrum Management Conference, taking place September 7, 2026, in Tunis, Tunisia, where thinkRF continues as Networking Partner for a third consecutive year.

National regulators across the continent are managing an increasingly crowded spectrum environment – expanding mid-band allocations for 5G growth, new licensing frameworks for satellite and non-terrestrial networks, and cross-border coordination challenges – often with monitoring infrastructure built for a slower, less contested era. Periodic drive tests and fixed monitoring stations can confirm what spectrum looked like at a single point in time, but they cannot keep pace with networks and interference sources that change by the hour.

SXM closes that gap with continuous, autonomous spectrum intelligence in place of static, periodic monitoring. National regulatory agencies use SXM to detect unauthorized transmissions, verify license compliance, and support evidence-based spectrum policy with real-time visibility rather than a snapshot. ISED Canada has deployed SXM nationally, detecting up to 65,500 unique cells in a six-month period – as much as 100 times more than legacy equipment identified over the same window. Jordan’s Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) has likewise adopted SXM for continuous oversight of its national spectrum, and a national regulator in Africa has deployed the platform to strengthen its own monitoring capabilities.

This year’s conference agenda – covering WRC-27 preparation, licensing frameworks for satellite and direct-to-device connectivity, and spectrum policy’s role in advancing social and economic value across the continent – reflects the same shift toward continuous, data-driven spectrum oversight that SXM is built to support. As Networking Partner, thinkRF will be on-site for live SXM demonstrations and one-on-one meetings with attending regulators and operators.
