thinkRF Returns as Networking Partner for Third Consecutive Year at Latin America Spectrum Management Conference

thinkRF, a leader in spectrum intelligence, today announced its return as Networking Partner to the 13th Latin America Spectrum Management Conference, taking place September 1–2, 2026, in San José, Costa Rica. Hosted by the Superintendency of Telecommunications (SUTEL) and held alongside COMTELCA’s Committee Meeting of Radiocommunications, the event marks thinkRF’s third consecutive year supporting the region’s premier gathering of spectrum regulators, policymakers, and industry leaders.

Latin America’s spectrum regulators are managing an unusually crowded agenda this year. With WRC-27 preparations underway, 5G rollout progressing unevenly across the region, competing visions for the upper 6 GHz band, an emerging 6G roadmap, and new frameworks needed for direct-to-device services and other emerging spectrum use cases, national authorities are being asked to make faster, better-supported decisions with less room for error. The conference agenda reflects that pressure directly, bringing together regulators from Costa Rica, Brazil, Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay, El Salvador, and the Dominican Republic, alongside CITEL, COMTELCA, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, and GSMA.

As Networking Partner, thinkRF will be on-site throughout both days to meet with regulators and discuss how continuous, autonomous spectrum intelligence supports evidence-based policy in exactly these areas. thinkRF’s Spectrum eXperience Management (SXM) platform applies three layers of AI and ML analytics – autonomous signal detection and classification, multi-sensor data fusion to pinpoint interference and rogue transmissions, and automated operational intelligence that turns raw spectrum activity into decision-ready insight – so regulators can act on what is actually happening across their spectrum, not just what periodic manual audits happen to catch.

SXM is already deployed by national regulators across multiple continents, as well as by private network operators and mobile network operators. In Canada, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) turned on SXM and continued its regular field operations while the platform autonomously collected and flagged compliance discrepancies in the background – measuring more than 65,500 unique cells in six months, up to 100 times more than legacy equipment allowed. Jordan’s Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) selected SXM for nationwide deployment to gain the same real-time, continuous visibility across its wireless landscape. National regulators in Africa and the Middle East and North Africa region have also adopted SXM for nationwide spectrum oversight, while leading private network operators and a national mobile network operators rely on the platform to manage their own spectrum environments. Together, these deployments point to the same conclusion the LATAM conference agenda keeps circling back to: modern spectrum governance – national or enterprise – needs continuous intelligence, not periodic snapshots.

thinkRF invites conference attendees to schedule time during the event to discuss how SXM applies to their own spectrum management priorities, from licensing enforcement and WRC-27 preparation to 6G planning and satellite licensing.
