Reporting to the VP Sales the Director, North America Sales has responsibility for all sales activity, revenue growth and pipeline development in the region.
thinkRF is is based in Ottawa, Canada and this position can be based anywhere in North America.
Responsibilities
- Assume full accountability for and ownership of revenue growth and accounts in the region
- Develop and implement business development strategies and plans, emphasizing building and managing a strong sales process and sales funnel
- Identify and prioritize opportunities while allocating resources effectively
- Achieve revenue targets through proactive prospecting and sales order bookings, building strong partner relationships, and creating company champions within potential customers
- Accurately forecast bookings and orders
- Initiate discussions with CxO’s, Directors, Managers, Engineers, and other key stakeholders in existing and prospective accounts
- Close quick, small wins while also overseeing longer and complex sales cycles
- Maintain up-to-date CRM records throughout the sales cycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to stage and execute proofs of concept addressing unique customer requirements, while controlling expenses and working capital (inventory and demo)
- Stay informed about the competitive landscape and remain current on technology and industry trends
- Work effectively with internal teams on behalf of the customers to ensure a high level of customer experience
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a superior customer experience
Qualifications
- 10+ years of field sales experience, selling and positioning technical products and solutions in a territory market environment preferred; competitive product experience preferred
- Experience in selling SaaS solutions to telecom operators, government agencies and private network operators
- Understanding of wireless network industry & trends
- Demonstrated track record of reaching and exceeding sales targets
- Demonstrated ability to source leads and generate sales opportunities while simultaneously working existing accounts
- Demonstrated ability to grow existing and new accounts
- Ability to build strong client relationships within the C-Suite
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for frequent travel
- Ability to travel within North America 50%+
